Height & Spacing Guidelines
How much room do I need?
Please make sure to give yourself AT LEAST 5-6 feet clear space in any direction from the center of your hammock. The higher the anchor point, the more space you may need depending on the movement.
What is the correct height for my hammock?
In general, any educational materials you receive related to our website require the hammock to either be “waist-high,” hanging between the pubic bone and navel, or “low”, meaning it hangs below the knees. Within this general description, THE HAMMOCK NEEDS TO BE ADJUSTED TO YOUR SPECIFIC HEIGHT for safety and usability.
The general measuring guidelines are shown below:
THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS: Some “Low Hammock” sequences require the hammock to be slightly higher or lower than this guideline. If so, the measuring will be explained at the beginning of any yoga video or in the Play & Fitness “LEARN” video. (For example, the Knee Hook Inversion Series requires the hammock to be at mid-calf, for the safety of your neck, and the Twisting & Diagonals Series requires the hammock be at the knee for maneuverability.)
